Where to start

The most important terms concern bonuses and game maths — these affect your money most directly.

  • RTP — a game’s theoretical payback percentage to the player.
  • Wagering requirement — how many times to wager a bonus.
  • Volatility — how often and how big the wins a game gives.
  • House edge — the casino’s statistical edge over the long run.

Glossary FAQ

What is RTP?
RTP (Return to Player) is a game’s theoretical payback percentage. A 96% RTP means the game returns on average 96% of bets over the long run — i.e. a 4% house edge.
What does a wagering requirement mean?
It tells you how many times you must wager the bonus before withdrawing. Read a fuller explanation with examples in our glossary.
What is a game’s volatility?
Volatility (or variance) shows the risk level: high-volatility games give rare but big wins; low-volatility ones give more frequent but smaller wins.
What’s the difference between house edge and RTP?
They’re two sides of the same coin: RTP + house edge = 100%. A 96% RTP means a 4% house edge.
